Research In The Impacting Factors Of Jiangxi Province Construction Output Growth

At the end of20th century, Jiangxi province had made construction industry asthe pillar industry in the national economy. However, after more than20years ofreform and development, Jiangxi has not yet got rid of all the low profitable andinefficient industries. This article studies the following based on the analysis on thedevelopment of Jiangxi construction industry:First of all, it summarizes the experiences and achievements of current studies,both foreign and domestic. It then simulated regression ally the relationship betweenthe proportional increase of construction industry in GDP and GDP per capita, basedon the studies on the relationship between construction industry and economicdevelopment, using cross section data from7domestic provinces in China. Theresults show that as the per capote GDP increases, the proportion of constructionindustry in the overall GDP tends to increase, and then decrease, and increase again,which is a relationship of Cubic curve. Jiangxi is in the ascending phase on the Cubiccurve. Secondly, using adjusted Cobb-Douglas production function and total factorproductivity, it estimated the contribution of capital input, labor input, technology tothe growth of construction industry in Jiangxi. It concluded that capital and labor arethe important factors that influence the growth of construction industry in Jiangxi.Finally, it established the multiple regression model of Jiangxi construction industryoutput, predicted the future development trend of Jiangxi construction industry, andprovided advices for improvement to the construction authorities and businesses.The development potential of Jiangxi construction industry is huge and themajor problem face by the industry is how to restructure the construction industry andrealize industry upgrade. Places that need to be improved are getting rid of thepreviously high resource and labor consuming medals and realizing development bytechnology. Once the above problems are solved, the construction industry in Jiangxiwill truly grow sustainably.
