The article summarizesand analyzes the relevant factors and channels of the new village and urbanizationdevelopment from the social public consciousness.Overall, the paper focuses on the development road of "the new villageconstruction " in China’s eastern coastal areas. The paper argues that "the new villageconstruction" is the primary prerequisite and basis for the development of a newsocialist countryside and also the first path to accelerate the integration of urban andrural areas. But the "new village construction" is not equivalent to the "newcountryside construction", and also not the transformation of the village appearance. The "new village construction" must adhere to the people-oriented and follow theurbanization development road, which has its own features and takes the cities andtowns production and living standards as the standard.
