Research On Supply Chain Inventory Management In The Environment Of Internet Of Things

Since the1960s, the competition between enterprises has been replaced by the competition between supply chains because of rapid economic development. For the purpose of enhancing the competitiveness of supply chain by improving the level of supply chain management, the resources of enterprises in supply chain should be integrated and optimized, and then managed uniformly. Inventory management is the most important part of supply chain management. It includes traditional inventory management model, vendor managed inventory model, jointly inventory management model, multi-echelon inventory optimizing and controlling model, and collaborative planning, forecasting and replenishment model. There are obvious limitations for these models. The effectiveness of implementation often depends on the accuracy of "market demand forecast". In order to reduce the reliance on "market demand forecast" accuracy to improve the efficiency of supply chain inventory management, we need to have further research on this theory by used of Internet of Things(IOT) to explore right model.In this thesis, author combines literature research method and exploratory research method. Firstly, this thesis comparative analyzes the chief supply chain inventory management models by querying the literature in order to put forward the problems. Then, the thesis designs the supply chain inventory management model in IOT including conditions of application, composition and technical support by use of IOT technology. Further, according to the research model, the thesis configures hardware environment and software development environment. Finally, the thesis achieves the main function of information platform by use of software engineering methods.This thesis puts forward IOT inventory management model through a combination of IOT technology and supply chain inventory management models, and designs IOT inventory management information platform based on the model. Information platform real-time transports products information about circulation, reserves, sales and real-time update supply chain inventory level by RFID technology, wireless sensor technology, network technology. If inventory meet the set conditions, information platform replenish automatically stocks and respond quickly to changes in market demand.The research of this subject enrich supply chain inventory management model in theory and provide enterprises in supply chain with theoretical basis and reference value to improve supply chain inventory management level by IOT technology application.
