Research On Core Competitiveness Evaluation Of Bank Listed Companies

In the modern economic development of economic globalization and the plurality of information, banking sector plays an active role in promoting economic and social development. So how can we make our banking sector develop rapidly is an important subject.The author firstly reviewed some theories, mainly theory of core competitive. Based on this, the author introduced fourteen listing banks in our country and their current situation. These banks can be divided into three kinds:state-controlled commercial banks, joint-stock commercial banks and city commercial banks. After that, the author summarized main characteristics of the banks.Secondly, the author analyzed the fourteen listed banks on the profitability, liquidity, risk and security capabilities, capacity development, market share, operating capability by SPSS16.0. The outcome is that the overall competitiveness of the joint-stock commercial banks is significantly higher than the state-controlled commercial banks. At the same time, the author explained the indicators in detail. Finally, the author proposed some countermeasures to improve the core competitiveness of banking sector.
