The Research Of Core Competitiveness Assessment For Listed Company In Construction Industry

Construction industry as a pillar industry in China has played a significant role indevelopment of China’s economy. With the increase of fixed assets investment andadvancement of urbanization process, the "12th Five-Year" period will be the importantopportunity of rapid growth, and the critical period of transforming development mode inconstruction industry. Listed company as the benchmarking of construction, its productionlevel and competitiveness are directly related to the overall development of theconstruction industry. How to keep advantage in the important transition period andpromote their core competitiveness, have become the problem urgently to be solved.Therefore, it is necessary to study the core competitiveness of listed companies inconstruction industry.This thesis focuses on the establishment of core competitiveness evaluation systemand model, and it aims to improve the core competitiveness of listed companies in theconstruction industry. Firstly, the thesis introduces the research situation of enterprise corecompetitiveness at home and abroad. Then it reviews the development process and currentsituation of listed company in the construction industry. Later, according to the researchsituation of core competitiveness evaluation index system of construction enterprise andthe influential factors of core competitiveness of listed companies in construction industry,the evaluation index system and evaluation model based on principal components analysisis proposed. Finally, the thesis makes an empirical analysis of27listed companies in theconstruction industry. At the same time, according to the result of the core competitivenessevaluation of listed companies in construction industry, it probes into somecountermeasures for promoting the core competitiveness from the aspects of marketcapacity, financing capacity and financial status, human capital, technological capabilitiesand management capabilities.
