Chinese Farmers' Professional Co-operatives Of Financial Support For Research

The establishment of farmer specialized cooperatives is an important content ofChina’s rural economic reform, but also to resolve the contradiction between China’ssmall farmers production and big market, improve the ability of farmers to participate inmarket competition, increasing the fundamental measure of the income of farmers.Since the implementation of the People’s Republic of China on Farmers SpecializedCooperatives Act in2007, the farmer specialized cooperatives of China have developedrapidly and have formed a certain scale so far. However, generally speaking, the level ofdevelopment of the farmer specialized cooperatives is low, and the development of thecooperatives is restricted by multiple factors, especially the want of fund. This papermainly focus on the farmer specialized cooperatives’ financial support issues. The paperwas carried out using empirical method, quantitative and qualitative research and fieldinvestigation method. The paper consists of seven chapters all together.In this paper, the mechanism design theory as an analytical tool, designs an incentiveand restraint mechanisms to achieve the incentive to supply the main purpose.Thispaper analyzes the behavior of the credit supply of rural credit cooperatives in ruralfinancial markets from the microscopic point of view, to arrive at the farmers’professional cooperatives lack of financial support for the theory because of: theopportunity cost of financial supply side as well as high costs of monitoring, lack ofmortgage-backed and other aspects.The full paper is composed of seven chapters:The first chapter describes the theoretical study of farmer specialized cooperativesfinance at home and abroad. The second chapter briefly describes the developmentstatus of China’s farmer specialized cooperatives and the main problems.The third chapters are the key of the paper. At first we analysis of the need forfinancial support of the farmers specialized cooperatives, and then describes the statusof the financial support of the farmers specialized cooperatives in China, respectively,from a financial supply and demand. At last we analysis the insufficient financialsupport of the farmers’ specialized cooperatives in China. The fourth chapter is based onthe theory of mechanism design to analyze the reasons of lack of financial support. Inchapter5, we list several typical modes of financing of farmers specialized cooperativesin China, and make a comparative analysis.We introduce the agricultural financial support of international and Taiwanexperience in the last chapter. The last chapter provide policy advice to build a realagricultural cooperative financial aspects of the financing problems for our farmersspecialized cooperatives, including the transformation of government functions of theestablishment of legal protection system, strengthen and perfect the system ofagricultural insurance and insurance system, innovative financial management system,and so on.
