As important organizational guarantee for the development of modern agriculture, Farmers’professional co-operatives play an important role in improving farmers’ organizational level,effective docking "small farmers" and "big market", increasing farmers’ income, building anew socialist countryside, etc. After many years development, Fujian farmers’ professionalco-operatives achieved significant results in scale, leading farmers and so on, and becomingmodern agricultural management organization to lead farmers to participate in marketcompetition day by day, but farmers’ professional co-operatives of different regions anddifferent industry have uneven level of efficiency and varying degree of standardization.Therefore, the standardized development of Fujian farmers’ professional co-operatives is stilla long way to go,and its function and effect needs to be further played.In recent years, the Party Central Committee, the State Council and local governments givehigh attention and support to the development of farmers’ professional co-operatives, andFujian farmers’ professional co-operatives usher in a good opportunity for development. Inthe background of the "12th Five-Year Plan", the development of modern agriculture andconstruction of the new socialist countryside, how to evaluate the overall performance offarmers’ professional co-operatives, explore the flaws and shortcomings during itsdevelopment, and take targeted policy measures to improve become important issues ahead ofus. Theory of institutional change, cooperatives theory, agricultural economics theory and soon were main analysis tools in this paper, and one farmers’ professional co-operativesoperation performance evaluation index system which suitable for Fujian practice wasdesigned from the perspective of scale, efficiency and influence, then some discusses aboutformer questions were launched through empirical and normative analysis, that can not onlyenrich existing research results, but also provide useful policy suggestions and improvementmeasures for Fujian farmers’ professional co-operatives’ health and standardizeddevelopment, thus improve orientation and efficiency of government support fund, so it hasimportant theoretical and practical significance. This study revolves around the following six parts: the first part is the preface, includingposing questions, discusses purpose and significance, defining related concept, elaboratingideas and methods about this paper; the second part is research at home and abroad, mainlyincluding current research at home and abroad and brief review; the third part is presentsituation of Fujian farmers’ professional co-operatives, mainly including exploringeffectiveness of status quo and main problems existing in Fujian farmers’ professionalco-operatives through the first-hand data; the fourth part is the design of performanceevaluation index system of farmers’ professional co-operatives, on the basis of elaboratingdesign principles of index system, this paper designed an evaluation index system containsthree secondary-level indicators and ten third-level indicators; the fifth part is empiricalresearch on operation performance evaluation of Fujian farmers’ professional co-operatives,this is the main part of this paper, firstly, factor analysis principle was introduced briefly,Sources of data was explained, and descriptive statistics analysis of sample data was given,secondly, common factors were extracted by factor analysis, the common factor scores andtotal scores were calculated, and the order was sorted; lastly, further classified, compared anddiscussed was given by clustering analysis; the sixth part is the main conclusion andcountermeasures, including research findings, related countermeasures and further researchworthy to be done.
