Private enterprise as an important force has made great achievements and played an unique role in the national economy after30years of development. It fully mobilizes the enthusiasm of the producers and eases the employment pressure. However, with the constant expansion of private enterprise and from the shortage of the domestic economy to the era of excess, private enterprise is facing a growing number of new issues and has entered the bottleneck stage of its development. How to break through the limitations of itself to enhance the grade is a turning point in the fate of private enterprise. The focus of these problems is hum resource, especially the senior manager.The management of senior manager in the private enterprise is increasingly becoming a constraint outstanding issue in the further growth of business. At present, there is a serious brain drain phenomenon in the private and the loss of senior manager to the impact of the enterprise is more deadly. How to apply advanced management concepts and establishing a scientific performance appraisal and compensation system and solving senior manager assessment and incentive compensation issues effectively and enhancing the core competitiveness of enterprise has become an important proposition. Moreover, senior manager appraisal and compensation in the private enterprise is a complicated systematic project. It not only needs to consider internal and external situation, but also requires a combination of senior manager groups in their own characteristics.The paper analyzes the appraisal and compensation problems and their root causes in the private enterprise under the guidance macroeconomic research at home and abroad from this background with an empirical perspective. It also explores senior manager appraisal and compensation design in national conditions on this basis with a view to the implement of long-term human resources strategy in the private enterprise and promotes the development of enterprises effectively.
