Because of Chinas social and economic development, thenational consumption level is steadily rising. The level of urban residents’consumption reached15,907yuan in2010. Under the encouragementof the expansion of domestic tourism demand, domestic tourismdemand is gradually expanding. In order to meet the growing tourismdestination demand, the emerging tourism destinations appearceaselessly. The number of3A level scenic spots,4A level scenic spotsand5A level scenic spots reached1513.There are many types oftourism destinations, Tourists choose range was significantly expandedlarge. Urban tourism has become one of the main ways of leisuretourism.121metropolis are excellent tourism city. Such as the number ofdomestic tourist in recent years was a steady upward trend, in Shanghai.In addition, tourist behavioral research has been the attention ofscholars, but the theory system is still not perfect, we should continue toimprove the theory.The article analyzes the urban tourism selection process, behaviorcharacteristics, influence factors, and built a conceptual model of thecity tourism destination choice behavior. The purpose is improving thetheory of tourists behavioral and the decision-making behavior oftourism. The empirical results can be useful of urban tourismdevelopment and marketing. The paper cased on Shanghai forresearch and used the method of questionnaire investigation to getgood data, and then used SPSS19.0software for quantitative analysison the data. Through having used the descriptive analysis, factoranalysis, mean, variance analysis, etc, this paper mainly summed thefollowing conclusions:Firstly, the behavior characteristic of urban tourism destinationchoice mainly displays in three aspects. In the selection process due to the awareness of the urban tourism, tourists directly choose to Shanghai.Tourists self decision have stronger consciousness. In addition to tourism,tourist travel purpose has diversified trend. This travel choice can affecttourists revisit. Secondly, urban tourism choice is mainly affected by thesix factors. There are comfortable environment, attractive landscape,experience activities, personal restrictive, accessibility traffic andconvenient information. Thirdly, Tourists of gender, age, income,education and urban tourism destination choice behavior ofinfluencing factors have significant correlation. In the end, from thestudy we can get enlightenment.. In the development processdevelopers should pay attention to create a comfortable environment,improve the urban landscape appeal and mining unique urban culture,and change marketing strategy.The content of the structure is mainly divided into five chapters. Thefirst chapter of "introduction" mainly introduces the researchbackground, the research significance, the research plan. The secondchapter "related research progress" focuses on the domestic andforeign traveling decision-making behavior and travel choice behaviorresearch progress. Chapter3"urban tourism destination choicebehavior of theory and method" build a conceptual model of the citytourism destination choice behavior, through combing the relatedtheoretical basis. The fourth chapter "Shanghai urban tourismdestination choice behavior of investigation and analysis" mainly doempirical analysis. The fifth chapter is "conclusion and discussed".
