Cultivated land, as the essence of part of the land resources are irreplaceablenatural resources, is an important guarantee and strong support of national foodsecurity.However, urbanization and industrialization in the construction of the degreeof deepening and increasing demand of land for construction, although thisphenomenon is to promote the city’s social and economic development, but thecultivated land conversion process has gradually intensified.With cultivated landresources reducing the number of the more and the faster at the same time caused thereduction in food supply and socio-economic sustainability and steady developmentof a series of questions.Cultivated land conversion of the driving factors can providescientific basis for the relationship between reasonable regulation and coordination ofconstruction land and cultivated land in the process of economic growth.Population and little cultivated land, mountain, plains, wastelands inferior to theless fertile good, should be cultivated arable land reserve resources "is the basiccharacteristics of Kunming.However, in Kunming, a large number of infrastructureprojects, investment projects, development zones and industrial projects, publicservice projects, livelihood projects in recent years a huge demand for land,eventually leading to the competition of the agricultural land and construction land inthe process of allocation of land resourcesvery intense.Based on this situation, theauthor of the driving factors of the dynamic changes and cultivated land conversionof2000to2009Kunming.Through research, the following conclusions:(1)2000-2009cultivated landconversion of the area in Kunming changes in three stages,The first stage is theconversion of cultivated land area of rapid growth phase (2000-2003), growth from1400hectares in2000to4000hectares in2003;The second stage is the conversion ofcultivated land area is reduced year by year (2003-2006), reduced from4000hectaresin2003to1200hectares in2006;The third stage is the conversion of cultivated landarea of rapid growth phase (2006-2009), growth from1200hectares in2006to3200hectares in2009.Cultivated land conversio rate from0.71%in2000to1.86%in2009.Kunming under the jurisdiction of14counties in Guandu District,2000-2009cultivated land conversion degree in Kunming, the largest regional.(2)2000-2009gross domestic product (GDP) in Kunming the most obvious impact of cultivatedland conversion, followed by farmers per capita net income, total fixed asset investment, second and tertiary industries and other economic factors, while the totalpopulation cultivated land conversion of the study area and the level of urbanizationand other social factors is not obvious.
