Labor discrimination is a worldwide problem that is prevalent in both developedand developing countries. Economic theory suggests that discrimination underminessocial justice, reduced work efficiency, reduce the total output of social services andproducts, so that society as a whole to deviate from the Pareto optimal state.The migrant worker of discrimination is China’s unique social phenomenon, as apart of the labor market discrimination, has been subject to great attention fromacademia. Many scholars have conducted in-depth research, achieved fruitful researchAchievement. Existing studies show that: first, the phenomenon of the discriminationof migrant workers is Widespread in China, and the impact is wide; Secondly, thesource of discriminating migrant workers is that China’s household registrationsystem. However, the studies about the consequences of the discriminating migrantworkers research is also very rare and need to be deepened and extended. DuringChina’s urbanization process and social transformation are accelerating And socialtransition period in China’s urbanization process, the discrimination of migrantworkers will cause some new problems, is bound to bring a more profound impact onChina’s economic and social development. Therefore, in this sense, it is particularlynecessary to analyze the socio-economic effects of China’s migrant workersemployment discrimination.This paper uses the literature analysis, normative analysis, empirical analysis andthe tools of economics to analysis the socio-economic effects of discrimination ofmigrant workers from the micro and macro perspective, drawing the followingconclusions: first, discrimination of migrant workers in employment market hasnegative effects on both sides. discriminating makes a decrease in the society totaloutput and deviating from the Pareto optimal state; Second, the migrant workersweather impact on urban workers’ Employment opportunities or not is uncertaintyaccording to theoretical analysis. Through of empirical analysis of2009data,we cansee the migrant workers did not have negative effects on the employment of urban workers, Therefore, the policies on discrimination migrant workers in employmentmarket lack of rationality. Third, discriminating migrant workers in employmentmarket will diminish the willingness of surplus rural labor shift to city, therebyreducing the number of urban migration. In addition, discriminating migrant workerswill also Increase the difficulty of Integrating into the city.This article attempts to be innovative in the following aspects:1.Expanding of the scope of the research in the field based on the original basis,a more comprehensive analysis of the socio-economic effects of discrimination ofmigrant workers in employment market.2.Uses the "supply-demand" tool to analysis the relationship between urbanworkers and migrant workers,we can see employment of migrant workers have notnegative impacts on urban workers through of empirical analysis.
