This thesis focuses on the theoretical analysis, and in combination with thedevelopment history of “Yunnan Red”, in order to make a positive and effectiveresearch on growth and strategic transition of resource-based enterprise field. As weknow, the resource-based industry tend to be the mainstay industry or characteristicindustry in Yunnan province, and play an important role in the national economy, soit’s of great theoretical and practical significance to research the issue of Yunnanresource-based enterprise’s growth and strategic transition in China. Thus, in thedrastically changing environment, what kind of growth route and strategic transitionorientation does Yunnan resource-based enterprise choose? Which key factors resultin its growth or decline and fall? What is the internal mechanism of its growth andstrategic transition? Whether the resource-based theory, dynamic capability theoryand organizational learning theory can help and conduct the resource-basedenterprise’s growth and strategic transition? This paper tries to analyze and answerabove questions systematically through theoretical deductive inference and modelconstruction, then it expects to helpful for the academia and practice world with acase analysis about “Yunnan Red”.This paper reviews the theories of enterprise growth, strategic transition,dynamic capability and organizational learning firstly, then, redefines the concept ofresource-based enterprise and divides its lifecycle into five growth stages and threestrategic transition stages. After that, based on resource-based theory, it makesselective analysis on key factors and process of mode changes for each stage. On thisbasis, combining the theories of dynamic capability and organizational learning, thispaper give a “resource-based enterprise’s growth and strategic transition” model, andreveals its essence of growth and strategic transition. Then, it makes deep analysis onthe growth and strategic transition of “Yunnan Red” for further verifying this paper’stheory achievements. Finally, it puts forward the conclusions and revelations bysummarizing.
