With the trend of economic globalization accelerating, National and Regionalcompetition is increasingly fierce, small and middle-sized enterprise (SME) clustershave become the main power of the national economic development and the maindriving force to promote the development of national and regional economic. SMEclusters have become a common phenomenon in the world economy and the mostpowerful new body to enhance the international competitiveness of national andregional economic. In China, SME clusters have experienced20years ofdevelopment and developed into a considerable scale on the whole, and become themain power to promote local economic development in some regions. However, withthe pace of development and expansion of the scale, there are a series of developmentissue and the plight of improving the competitive advantage in the initial stage ofcluster development, for example, Cluster effect is not obvious; SME lack ofinnovative capacity and property right protection consciousness in the cluster;Difficulties in financing; Free-rider phenomenon is more serious; Government actionplay no effect, etc. These problems severely limit the play of the core competitivenessand the improvement of competitive advantage in the SEM clusters.The construction and development of the third-party e-commerce platformprovide a shortcut for cluster to develop the information platform, and the third-partye-commerce platform has developed into an important hub of market information.The advantages of information integration and specialized technical services caneffectively compensate for the lack of human resources, capital, technology, site visits,attention and credibility, and provide professional e-commerce network technologyand a wealth of information resources. This provides the conditions for the use ofe-commerce platform to optimize the mode of SME clusters.In this paper, the mode of combining the third-party e-commerce platform andSME clusters is the object of the study. After considering the third-party e-commerce platform technology, features and the competitive advantage of SME clusters, thepaper constructs the mode of SEM clusters with the role of the third-partye-commerce platform by using the method of model research, case study, literaturestudy and so on. First, the paper analyses and studies the feasibility, technicalframework, model construction, core processes of the new mode and the case ofthird-party e-commerce platform, and then proposes the mechanism of the third-partye-commerce platform to enhance the competitive advantage of the SEM clusters.Finally, the paper analyses the path of the new mode to enhance the competitiveadvantage of SME clusters on the basis of the above studies.
