The Food Companies' Moral Corruptions In China

The food safety incidents, which have threatened our health severely, frequentlyhappened in China in recent years. And these incidents not only affected people’shealth, but also brought negative effects to Chinese economic development, theharmonious and stable society and the government’s image. The food safety issue hasbecome a prominent social problem.The past research on the food safety issue mostly focused on the mandatorysupervision of the laws and regulations. However, the acts endangering food safetycannot be prohibited despite the mandatory regulations. It shows that the food safetyissue could not be solved solely by the mandatory constraints of some external lawsand regulations. This paper uses the moralities which should be complied with in thebusiness ethics to analyze and research into the enterprise moral self-discipline whichis the object of the study in this article.The paper elaborates five parts about the enterprise moral self-discipline problemin our country: The first part mainly summarizes the background and the significanceof the topic selection and the key and the train of thoughts in the research; The secondpart defines the food safety issue, analyzes the present situation and introduces theproblem and the reason which causes the food quality problem; The third partelaborates the outcome of the business moral hazard and mostly describes thenegative impacts and damage of the moral hazard acts to the citizen, the society andthe country; The fourth part analyzes the reason of the moral hazard and the enterprisecorrupting morals acts deeply hoping to find the method to solve the issue; The fifthpart constructs the specific countermeasures to the Chinese food business ethics tosolve the malignant food safety events which were initiated by the enterprise moralhazard in our country.The healthy development of the food business must be constrained by the ethicsand morals. Morals could constrain the enterprise acts thoroughly as a kind of invisible power. Morals could make enterprises consider the happiness of people, thefairness and justice of the society and the benign development of the environment.
