Rural residential land is the comprehensive product of human activity and naturalcondition interaction in the particular background of geographical environment and socialeconomic, and its changes are influenced by natural, social economy, policy system. And inthe local region, the difference of social economy and policy system is not obvious, butgeomorphic condition is the effect way of the key factor and degree. Therefore, ruralresidential land and its change is different in different geomorphologic regions, and the landuse shall be based on the law. At present, the research is insufficient. Intensify the analysisand study of rural residential land spatio-temporal evolution in different geomorphologicregions, which helps in understanding landform distribution rules of rural residential landchange, and also important meaning to scale control, layout optimization and new ruralreconstruction in different geomorphologic regions. This paper takes plain region(Shahezhan Town),hill area (Dayang Town),lake area(XinhuTown)in many landforms area of the South region of ShandongProvince as researchobjects, and uses the model of land use dynamic changes, multi-linear regression model, RSand GIS technology, fundamental methods of landscape ecology to study rural residential landand its change in different geomorphologic regions. The main research contents and theresults are listed as follows.(1)The dynamic changes of rural residential land scale: The scale, rangeability anddynamic degree of rural residential land are on the rise in different degree. From the point ofper capita rural residential land, the case is hill area (192.57m~2/person)>lakearea(167.12m~2/person)>plain region(158.43m~2/person). From the point of rangeability, thecase is hill area(25.85%)>lake area(14.65%)>plain region(9.58%). From the point ofdynamic degree of rural residential land, the case is hill area(2.35%)>lake area(1.33%)>plainregion(0.87%).The land is mainly exchanged between rural residential land and cultivatedland、forest land、construction sites(mainly for the mining land),which contains hill land(84.85%)、plain region (78.68%)、lake area(80.57%). From the point of transfer and exchangeamount, the case is lake area(51.27hm~2,102.13hm~2)>plain region(36.77hm~2,73.54hm~2)> hill area(17.02hm~2,34.05hm~2); From the point of new increment and net incrementamount, the case is hill area(199.11hm·2,182.08hm~2)>lake area(165.54hm~2,114.27hm~2)>plain region(112.15hm~2,75.37hm~2).(2) Driving force of rural residential land scale: This paper chooses12driving factors of social economy including township populaition, township employees,fixed-assetinvestment,GDP and or slse, through the principal component analysis, and the driving forceof rural residential land scale are summurised as economic development factors, agriculturalproduction factors and population factors. In practical terms, Economic development factors, agricultural production factors are the main driving force of rural residential land scale in theplain area; Economic development factors, population factors are the main driving force ofrural residential land scale in the hiii area; Economic development factors, agriculturalproduction factors and population factors are the main driving force of rural residential landscale in the lake area.(3)The landscape pattern of rural residential land: The Overall changes of ruralresidential land landscape pattern are consistent, which contain the increase of total scale andlargest patch scale, the decrease of distance between patches, the simple of patches, shape, thedecrease of patch shape differences, the more compact and reasonable of patches layout.Inpractical terms, rural residential land of plain area have the characteristics which contain thelarger of total scale and largest patch scale, regular shape, layout widely and evenly. Ruralresidential land of hill area more uniformly distributing in plain region of the hill area has thecharacteristics, which are more larger total scale and larger patch scale, more compact, densitysmaller, the further patch distance, the larger of patch distance differences. Rural residentialland of lake area has the characteristics of smallest patch scale, most number of the patch, themost irretular of patch shape, most widely and scattered distribution. From the point of thechange degree of rural residential land landscape pattern, the case is hill area or lakearea>plain region.(4)The effects of geomorphic conditions on rural residential land: As the terrain inplain region is flat and the development and new increased of rural residential land is notbound by space, rural residential land has the characteristics of high proportion, big patchesscale, regular shape, reasonable layout.beside.Beyond that, because of plentiful ploughresources and predominantly agricultural economy, the economy grows slowly and the changeof rural residential land is slow; The expansion of trural residential land is limited in hill areaor the limited of landform. rural residential land characteristics of lowe, irregularshape, proportion more uniformly distributing in plain region of the hill area, larger patchscale, the further patch distance, more fragmentary patches; Because of star-studded waterbody in the lake area, rural residential land has the characteristics of more replacementbetween rural residential land and other land, more patches number, smaller patches scale, irregular shape, layout widely. The research results enrich the theory of rural residential land spatio-temporal evolutionand can be used to reasonably predict residential land scale in different geomorphologicregions and privide diciion-making for making certain reasonale residential land, villagerenocation, layout optimization according lo lacal geomorphologic conditons.
