In1980s, national vegetables are in short supply. In order to alleviate the conflict, the Ministry of Agriculture proposed to launch the "Vegetable Basket Project" in1988. With the constant adjustment of vegetables grown structures, and constant expansion of the vegetables grown scale, together with increasing vegetable production, it is an inevitable trend for the transformation from quantity-oriented agriculture to value-oriented agriculture. The value chain management for the purpose of the vegetable value chain added value and its achievement becomes a new management model which adapts to the development of new management.In the industrial value chain, the vegetable farmers acting as the source of industry chain, how can we maintain their long-term profits? How can we create and gain "excess" values? How can we make the farmers dominate an advantage position in the process of profit allocation in vegetable industry value chain? We should focus on factors influence of farmers’value creation which is the aim of this thesis.As one of the Chinese farmers depending on industries, vegetables planting realizes its value chain added value through value creation and it is necessary to analyze the factors influencing its value creation. Based on vegetables industry chain, this article focuses the current situation of Nanjing vegetable value chain, further analysis of farmers’will to participate and selection, in order to maximize the whole value chain, which gives reference for Nanjing vegetable value chain development solutions and policy recommendations, it is the value creation channels that promise the added value of industry chain and production via the analysis of some influential factors such as farmers personal character, production factors, market factors, and industry chain format.
