Analysis Of Factors Influencing Trade Between Guangxi And Vietnam Based On Gravity Model

In recent years, the Greater Mekong Subregion economic cooperation,Two Corridors and One Ring of cooperation between China and Vietnam, China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, the Pan-Tonkin Gulf economic cooperation, economic cooperation in Pan-Pearl River Delta, Nanning-Singapore Economic Corridor, etc. a series of free trade zones, regional economic cooperation and regional economic corridor projects have provided unprecedented opportunities for development of border trade between Guangxi and Vietnam. Vietnam has been the largest trade partner of Guangxi for11years, which has played a certain role for Guangxi economy, particularly the economic development of border areas. But over the past three years, increase speed of trade volume between Guangxi and Vietnam reduced, knowing the promotion and negative factors of trade between Guangxi and Vietnam has great significance for the further prosperity of trade between Guangxi and Vietnam. New trade theories, especially theories of border trade, envidence that mediating effect exists in border trade, such as the special geographical, cultural advantages, the policy advantages, resources. Meanwhile, there are shielding effect between Guangxi and Vietnam such as transport facilities, market demand and poor export structure, irrational industrial structure and layout of a single channel of foreign trade settlement and other issues. Using new gravity model of international trade variables given to empirical analyze border effect of trade between Guangxi and Vietnam, mediating and shielding effect of trade between Guangxi and Vietnam is proved directly or indirectly. Therefore, to promote the further development of trade between Guangxi and Vietnam, we should take great efforts to adjust the export trade structure, optimize market structure; found the border free trade zone and processing base; strongly reinforce the infrastructure construction, improve the investment environment; improve the trade management system and stable border trade policy measures.
