The Economic Cooperation Between Hunan And Guangxi Province Under The Cafta Fremework

Regional cooperation is one way to achieve common development for adjacent countries or regions. With the development of economic globalization,regional cooperation has become a trend. Hunan is adjacent to Guangxi. Developing mutual benefit cooperation and seeking stable long-term relations between hunan and guangxi, not only conforms to hunan, but also good for guangxi.The main innovation of this thesis is to study economic cooperation between Hunan and Guangxi in the new background "the establishment of the new background of China-ASEAN Free Trade Area". In the view of Hunan, we mainly consider exploring the southwest channel, expanding the ASEAN market. For Guangxi, the research of economic cooperation between Hunan and Guangxi is to strengthen cooperation with neighboring provinces to expand the economic hinterland, and to improve the status of Guangxi. in addition, this thesis also considering the mutual interests of two provinces and even our country to expand the ASEAN market and the long-term interests of regional coordinated development.Firstly, this thesis introduces the concerned theory at home and abroad, and then analysis the significance of the economic cooperation between Hunan and Guangxi in the framework of CAFTA. With the theory of comparative advantage, in the method of comparative analysis, through the data statistics and chart, etc, this thesis researches the foundation of two provinces for cooperation, including elements structure, industrial structure and demand structure. We found that there are many complementary advantages in the two provinces, which proves the good foundation of cooperation. Besides, this article analysis opportunities and problems in the procedure of cooperation, for example, it’s difficult to harmonize the local interests. Finally, combining with the actual situation of the two provinces, the thesis discusses how to cooperate. It research the overall economic cooperation and countermeasures, including the target of XiangGui economic cooperation under the framework of CAFTA, the principle of cooperation, the main areas, the security conditions and the measures. Hunan and Guangxi provinces may develop cooperation in a great range, including industry, market, building cooperation platform and regional economic cooperation. In the process of cooperation, both parties should grasp the opportunity, make full use of the complementary advantages, and make up for its defects, to overcome the obstacles, which will success and gain good performance.
