Research On Manufacturing Industry International Competitiveness Comparison Between China&Asean

Under the tide of economic globalization, international forms of industrial organization, production organization and the international division of labor model produced a significant and profound change, the gradual decomposition of the international division of labor based on the value chain of specialized production mode from the longitudinal vertical integration. Chinese manufacturing industry by virtue of the comparative advantage of abundant natural resources and cheap labor to cut to the low-end part of the global value chains led by the developed countries, although the smooth realization of product upgrades to the technology upgrade, but in the process to upgrade to the process of feature upgrades in developed countries has been heavily obstructed. How to break out from the low-end link of the lock by developed countries in global value chain has become Chinese manufacturing problems to be solved, China-ASEAN Free Trade Area (CAFTA) built to provide an opportunity for the transformation of the way of manufacturing growth in China. Therefore, comparison of the competitiveness of manufacturing industry in China and the ASEAN countries, China and ASEAN manufacturing competitiveness, the development status and evolution of the situation and put forward the coordinated development strategy of China and ASEAN manufacturing integration, there is a very important practical significance.This paper first reviewed the theory of international competitiveness of industry, including the connotation of the international competitiveness of industry, the theoretical basis of the analysis model and evaluation methods in four aspects; Then, from the structural characteristics of the industrial level, labor productivity, wage costs and trade competitiveness manifestations of competitiveness and value-added rate, analyzes the development status of China and ASEAN countries, the manufacturing sector; then, around the industrial environment, productivity, trade, profit margins four competitive levels and to build international competitiveness of manufacturing evaluation system, using a principal component analysis on the competitiveness of manufacturing industry of China and ASEAN countries, comprehensive evaluation, analysis of national competitiveness of manufacturing industry size and trends, and on this basis, combined with state of the nations, China and the ASEAN countries, manufacturing industry development trend for positioning. Finally, summing up the evolutionary path of competitiveness of manufacturing industry in China and the ASEAN countries on the basis of departure from the status of national competitiveness, the cooperation of China and ASEAN countries, manufacturing, integrated and coordinated development patterns, and pointed out that restricting the Chinese and ASEAN manufacturing integrated and coordinated development barriers.
