Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture "collectors" Rural Tourism Development Research

Rural tourism of china was in the embryonic stage during1950s, then gradually blossomed out in the domestic and international market. Rural tourism is a Companion of industrialization, urbanization, and modernization. With the continuous improvement of Chinese urban residents’income levels and extension of statutory holidays, The demand of market is becoming vigorous owing to the rise of awareness for leisure and recreation of urban residents. Based on natural resources and cultural connotation of local regions, rural tourism made great progress and development. Eco-tourism, ethnic tourism, and experience tourism emerge in an endless stream.With the implementation of western development policy, rural tourism of the Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture was initialized. Based on observation of rural tourism at home and abroad, this paper concludes that development of rural tourism is conducive to narrowing the gap between urban and rural areas, adjusting and optimizing industrial structure, propelling the new rural construction, and improving the living standards of ethnic minority. First, this paper Studies theoretical research of rural tourism, the concept and type of rural tourism, and case studies at home and abroad, which aims at providing guidance to development of farmhouse entertainment, the representative of rural tourism in Ganzi autonomous prefecture; second, through the development of farmhouse entertainment in Ganzi autonomous prefecture, this paper sums up advantages of emerging pattern of rural tourism, and affirms its significance to economic growth in Ganzi Prefecture; Third, with the assistance of case study of farmhouse entertainment, this paper describes the status quo of rural tourism, and further analyzes predicament in the development of farmhouse entertainment; Finally, based on literature review and case analysis, this paper attempts to provide some advices concerning market positioning and development proposals.Farmhouse entertainment takes root in Tibetan history, culture, religion, and custom, carries out in the way of residential reception with Tibetan characteristics in order to directly improve the farmers and herdsmen income. The development of farmhouse entertainment in Ganzi Prefecture take advantages of profound history and culture of local area as follows:on the one hand, the environmental advantages of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau, the unique Guozhuang dancing economy and Tea-Horse Road economy; the other hand, potential cultural and economic values. Farmhouse entertainment was launched and spearheaded by the operation of "Kamba Village" run by local government, which not only contributes to a leap of village economy, and promotes rural prosperity and development of the tourism industry in Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture.
