Common Prosperity Thoughts Of Marxism And The Practice Of Research In Contemporary China

The thought of common prosperity is an important part of Marxism. The Communist Party of China undertook hard exploration for realization of common prosperity. During recent three decades of reform and opening, China reached the goal that minority became rich first. On the other hand, it deepened the gap of residential income distribution. The solution to fulfill common prosperity is unresolved. Efficient settlement of this matter is crucial for sharing achievements of reform and development, promoting scientific development and social harmony, ensuring ruling status of CPC, propelling the development of socialist cause.Therefore, it’s fundamental and directional to narrow the gap of income distribution so as to fulfill common prosperity.The first chapter begins with the introduction of historical Background of Marx and Engels’thought of common prosperity, and then analyses social polarization and keen social contradiction spawned by Capitalist system, as well as confusion facing Utopian socialism. Furthermore, this paper elaborates thought of common prosperity of Marx and Engels, which includes three following parts:Firstly, private ownership of means of production is the root cause of social polarization; Secondly, highly developed productivity is material base of materializing common prosperity; Thirdly, common prosperity is the goal of developing productivity in future society.The content of second chapter is that realizing common prosperity is a sublime ideal for member of CPC..During the practice of exploration of common prosperity, every generations of Central Collective Leadership of the CPC. headed by Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao respectively form the outlook on common prosperity.Mao Zedong’s outlook on common prosperity includes as follow: common prosperity is the internal requirement of socialism; common prosperity is bound to avoid equalitarianism and polarization; Socialist system is the fundamental method for developing productivity and realizing common prosperity. Deng Xiaoping’s outlook on common prosperity includes as follow:common prosperity is embodiment of the essence of socialism and fundamental principle of socialist system; it is a shortcut for realization of common prosperity by quick rich helping slow rich; socialist system is imperative to avoid social polarization;Jiang Zemin’s outlook on common prosperity includes as follow:efficiency first, then equity; paying close attention to narrow the gap of income and regional development; Hu Jintao’s outlook on common prosperity includes as follow: adhering to people-oriented philosophy and highlighting the matter of social fair; improving people’s livelihood, fairly sharing achievement of reform and development among masses. Outlooks above are theoretical accomplishment of localization of Marxism in China, which derive from same origin and keep pace with the timesBased on analysis of predicament of present unfair wealth distribution, the third chapter systematically expounds on necessity and inevitability of materializing common prosperity by following four aspects:Common prosperity is the strong power and basic purpose of scientific development; Common prosperity is the sticking points of resolving social contradictions; Common prosperity is the prime advantages of socialist system; Common prosperity contributes to enhancing vibrancy of socialism with Chinese characteristics.In fourth chapter, this paper first analyses some views of reform to income distribution system, and then puts forward methods to narrow the gap of income distribution. First, increasing labor payment and resident income ratio so as to reserve wealth among people; Second, increasing income of low-income worker, expanding the proportion of medium income group and regulating overpaid income to maintain social fair; Third, highlighting top-level design and forming composite force during the overall reform.The last chapter summarizes the conclusion of this paper.All in all, based on thought of Marxist common prosperity, this paper combines theory with practice, focuses on the practice of common prosperity in present china, and systematically analyses problems occurred during practice.
