Research On The Competitive Advantage Of Shanxi Stoker Equipment Manufacturing Based On Disruptive Innovation

Shanxi is a coal-rich province, which has an unique advantage in the development of stokerequipment manufacturing. But Shanxi is not a large province in stoker equipment manufacturing:enterprise insufficient investment in science and technology; industry technology developmentlagging behind, the processing technology backward, insufficient innovation ability; product unevendistribution, which still have the market to fill the gap. So, how to construct the industrycompetitive advantage through improving technical innovation capability has become the focus ofstoker equipment manufacturing industry.Disruptive innovation is a technology innovation and strategic management theory after thetechnology innovation theory and the theory of national innovation system, whose analysisframework involves technology and market dimensions. The implementation of innovationactivities-incumbent and new entrants, recognize the opportunity of the maintenance innovationand disruptive innovation through combining technology and market dimensions and put them inpractice.Firstly, this paper analysized the current situation of Shanxi stoker equipment manufacturingindustry from the enterprise level-incumbent and new entrants and the industry level-technology and market dimensions on the basis of the disruptive innovation theoretical analysisframework. And then points out the existing problems of Shanxi stoker equipment manufacturingindustry. Secondly, the paper probes the opportunity recognition and ways of the maintenanceinnovation and disruptive innovation from two aspects-incumbent and new entrants.
