Urban Traffic Congestion And To Develop The Public Transportation Research

As the process of urbanization accelerates and the living standard of people is gradually improved, the joy and happiness from automobile is being swallowed by the traffic jam. As the traffic participants, we have always seen that the Government is quicken up the tempo of mending road and construction bridges, but this still can not catch up with the rapid growth of automobiles. As a result, traffic jam also repeated happen to Huhehot and becomes more and more serious, which seriously challenges the Government and traffic controllers.Simply speaking, traffic jam is a process from quantitative change to qualitative change. Originally, there was no road in the world, but when there were many people who have walked upon it, a road came into being. Now, the road is full of automobiles. As a result, no automobile can move. Originally, there were no people walking upon this road, but now, the road is congested because of too many people. Then, why is the road congested? That’s because every road has its design maximum traffic capacity and when the traffic exceeds this traffic capacity, the traffic jam happens. It is difficult to solve. For example, when a bottle is full of water, if you put the cap back on the bottle and turn over the bottle, you will find that the water in the bottle is standing. Similarly, if a road is full of automobiles, it is difficult to park other automobiles, much less moving. This is a supersaturated traffic flow. Then, the traffic flow below this design standard is unsaturated traffic flow. This paper studies solving the trip problems of people through greatly developing the mass transit, making more people choose the mass transit, reducing the use of private cars and the traffic flow so as to improve the traffic capacity of the road and reduce the traffic jam, under the condition of unsaturated traffic flow. This paper mainly starts from developing and improving the mass transit system, solving the daily trip demand of people, reducing the trip proportion of private cars and restraining the rapid growth of automobiles to achieve the goal of relieving the traffic jam.
