Research On Development Strategies Of Public Traffic In Haikou

Public traffic is one of the most important urban infrastructure to maintain the vitality of the city,which restricts the city's economic development and the artery of urban life. The development of a modern city need a modern traffic system to adapt itself to the new environment. With the modern traffic system, it is necessary to form a layout of urban development and high degree of coordination of comprehensive traffic pattern. In recent years, although public transport in China has achieved great development, there are still large gaps compared to developed countries. The development of public traffic is getting more and more attention in Government, enterprises and scholars.Under the guidance of the overall development objectives of planning,with the characteristics and mode of traffic in Haikou City,based on the traffic demand and the environment, the dissertation presented several main types development strategies of public traffic in Haikou city,which include the strategies of conventional bus, BRT and rail transit.The textual main work and innovation points include:Firstly, the dissertation proposed development strategy of conventional bus from the four areas. These mainly include: conventional bus form of transport network and service model, conventional bus network functional structure, public transport corridors and transfer hub, transit station planning.Secondly, BRT system network development model of Haikou city is presented. Considering long-term rail transit layout,based on the city planning and passenger traffic forecast ,the scale of the BRT network was estimated and seven BRT lines in Haikou city is proposed.Thirdly, from the whole of Hainan Province, according to the traffic flow characteristics of East Link rail in Hainan province, the dissertation selected forecast model and predict the flow of the line.At the same time ,the programme of East Link via the sea Haikou City Road was carried out a detailed forecast and analysis. The programme can replace some of the functions of urban light rail take in some bus passengers of Haikou City, which plays a important role in public traffic in Haikou city.
