Research On The Structure And Measure Of Agircultural Industry Cluster’s Value Chain System In The Case Of Lin’an Hickory Industry

As the competition advantage arose from synergistic effects of industrial cluster has become more obvious and attractive, cluster development in modern agricultural industry seems to be quite a promising trend. Several regions have experienced to form agricultural industry cluster, and the outcomes are encouraging, such as promoting farmer additional receiving and industry efficiency, propelling rural industrialization and urbanization, establishing regional agricultural brand, as well as improving regional competitiveness. However, there are many problems which are common to agricultural industry clusters during the development, such as incomplete growth of cluster main bodies, poor relationship among cluster main bodies and lack function of them and so on.This article attempts to generalize the connotation of value chain system which plays an important role in the cluster development of agriculture industry, based on the theories about agricultural industry cluster and value chain. And defining it as the aggregation of all values created by all main bodies in a agricultural industry cluster, these main bodies include individuals, companies, organizations who participate in various nodes of a main agricultural product’s value enhancement, such as production, processing, packing, storing, transportation, marketing and service, it also include many service agencies who provide assistance supporting for the process. The value chain system is a value net with three dimensions, not only including companies’internal value chains but also vertical value chains among companies, suppliers, and distributors, and horizontal value chains between companies and government, industry association and horizontal value chains between companies and competitors, etc. Besides, the article forms a value chain system of agricultural industry cluster composed of two layers. The first layer contains four key dimensionalities which are construction for Agricultural Leading Enterprise, Agricultural Supporting Enterprise, Cluster Net of Relationship, Related Organizations. Further, these four key dimensionalities are subdivided into18secondary dimensionalities assembled into value chain system, which can make value chain system of agricultural industry cluster systematic and complete. Then, we take Lin’an hickory industry as study object and make a questionnaire of it. After analyzing the data, we prove the hypothesis that there are key dimensionalities exist in the value chain system of agricultural industry cluster. At last, this paper analyzes the importance and acceptance of indexes about Lin’an hickory industry’s value chain system, and reveals their advantage and shortage in the construction of value chain system, which can provide some suggestions for upgrading of Lin’an hickory industry cluster.
