China's Agricultural Industry Cluster Analysis And Policy Implications

Agriculture Industry Cluster in the rural China has been for nearly two decades and it has played an important role in improving the efficiency of resource use,increasing rural income, expanding the scale of agricultural production, and promoting modernization of agriculture. At present China is still faced with many issues in the development of agricultural industry cluster. For example, agriculture-industry value chain has been separated by the industrial development policies and it is difficult to coordinate them currently. Main benefit management of agricultural industrialization was not strengthened at all. To improve agricultural efficiency, increase rural income per capita, and lift the comprehensive competitiveness of agriculture, it is important to analyze the current development of agricultural industry cluster, identify the main issues and find its primary causes so as to propose some policy suggestions for the development of agricultural industry cluster in the new Millennium.This thesis analyzes the development obstacles of agricultural industry cluster, explains the reasons for the low economic effects of cluster, and finally presents some corresponding policy suggestions by employing industry cluster theory, economic theory and comparative study methods.
