According to analysis on overall changing trend of income gap between urban and rural areas of Hainan province in the period of1990-2010, including the urban residents and rural residents per capita changes in relative amount and absolute amount, as well as its stage characteristic., we conclude that the income gap between urban and rural areas in Hainan province has gradually expanded.Fourth, empirical analysis of energy consumption structure and the relationship of the income gap between urban and rural areas in Hainan province. This paper selects energy consumption structure and income in urban and rural areas in Hainan province, in1990-2010as variables, using variable ADF unit root test, co integration analysis and error correction model to test the long-term equilibrium and short-term dynamic correction relationship among variables. The empirical results show that energy consumption structure and the income gap between urban and rural residents in Hainan province have long term equilibrium relationship, and also have correction function in a short period of time.Fifth, according to this study the main conclusions of hainan province, puts forward the direction of energy consumption structure optimization, and the construction of the energy consumption structure optimization and decipherment of urban and rural structure of the operation mechanism of feasibility, finally only out of this study deficiency and prospect.
