Research On Process-oriented Organizational Design System

In the1990s, process reengineering which Michael Hammer proposed became the fashion of the management community. It emphasizes business processes for the the object and center of transformation; customers’ needs and satisfaction as the goal, breaking down the traditional functional organization structure, by fundamental rethinking and radical redesign of existing business processes, to create a new process-based organizational structure. Many scholars began to study the theory of process organization, process design and organizational structure design, especially in process design. And at this stage IT applications in process management and design achieved good results, and greatly improve the efficiency of the process analysis and design. But organizational structure design is still stuck in the transitional stages, Computer technology and IT is seldom used less in organizational structure design. Today, information technology developed highly, how to use Computer technology and IT in process design and structural design, improve the speed of development of information technology in Process-oriented organization design is an urgent problem.This project aims to design a process-oriented organization design system. In this system, designers can enter process and structural information conveniently, and design process and organizational structure according to the principles/methods. By using process-oriented organization design system, it will greatly improve the design cycle of process-oriented organization, make organizational structure more responsive to the process, ensure the continuity of business process, and improve the economic efficiency of enterprises.This thesis is divided into six chapters, research from the following aspects:Chapter1and2, analysis the background and theory of process-oriented organization, put forward the necessity of building a process-oriented organization structure design system, explain the basic theory and methods related to the research and discuss the application of those theory and methods.Chapter3, analysis the necessity of design process-oriented organizational design system. Put forward the overall objectives and functional requirements of process-oriented organizational design system by analysis the process of process-oriented organization. At last designed the overall framework and function modules of process-oriented organizational design system.Chapter4,Analysis the process design module of process-oriented organizational design system. Analysis the functional and logic processes of process design module, and gives the detailed steps and methods of process design. Finally. design the main interface of the system.Chapter5,analysis the structure design module of process-oriented organizational design system. Analysis the functional and logic processes of structural design module, and gives the detailed steps and methods of structural design Finally, design the main interface of the system.Chapter6, summarizes the research results, analyses the deficiencies and shortcomings of this research, and put forward the future research.
