Problems And Countermeasures Of China And The Dprk Sub-regional Economic Cooperation

Cross-border sub-regional economic cooperation plays an important role in national unity, economic prosperity and the development of border areas in China, meanwhile, also strengthening our country’s friendly and cooperative relations with neighboring countries. China and North Korea are two large countries adjacent to each other, has a long history of economic cooperation, since the beginning of the21st century, with the deepening of economic globalization and regional economic integration, the Sino-Korean cross-border sub-regional economic cooperation and ushered in a new historical opportunity.This thesis, analyzes domestic and foreign scholars’understanding of the concept of sub-regional economic cooperation and researches on Sino-Korean sub-regional economic cooperation from the macro perspective. Starting from the theory of sub-regional economic cooperation, manage to. understand the definition of regional, sub-regional, regional economic cooperation and sub-regional economic cooperation, based on the understanding of them, analyzed the reasons that caused the sub-regional economic cooperation, also the characteristics of the sub-regional economic cooperation, then analyzed the current state and future developmental trends of sub-regional economic cooperation, concludes that Asia will become the focus of future sub-regional economic development, especially with the roaring development of China in recent years. The active role that China plays in the sub-regional economic cooperation will drive the economic prosperity of the whole Northeast Asia. Sino-Korea economic cooperation has a long history, no matter in trade cooperation, tourism cooperation, or scientific and technological cooperation, all have great development. With the deepening of the Sino-Korean sub-regional economic cooperation, problems also continue to emerge, the level difference of economic development between China and North Korea, infrastructure, roads, channel construction, investment environment, all have become major obstacles between them. Understanding of the Sino-Korean trade problems from a general perspective, our government should increase leading force in the promotion of bilateral economic development, improving the investment environment of Korea, the international environment, optimize the industrial structure, make fully use of the various preferential policies of China’s trade with North Korea, to create a better environment for Sino-Korea sub-regional economic cooperation.
