The Research On The Impact Of Industrial Openness On The Scientific Development Of Mineral Industry In Our Country

Mineral resource is decisive material base of economic development. Throughout the expansion of the mineral resource industry, it is a significant strategic project to implement the scientific outlook on development, promote comprehensive, coordinated and sustainable development of mineral resource industry in order to accelerate economic growth, safeguard national economic security and protect the environment. At present, global economic integration helps countries establish further connection with each other. A large amount of factors are exchanged all over the world, such as capital, technology, material resources and so on, which also contributes to the development of mineral resource industry.On basis of actual characteristics, this paper aims to research the influence of industrial openness on scientific development of mineral resource industry. First of all, it analyzed the influence mechanism. Import, acquisition of foreign technology and overseas investment did act on the industry’s scientific development, while export and foreign direct investment took a less important role. And then, it measured the degree of the openness and the scientific development of mineral resource industry, applying the principal component analysis and analytic hierarchy process separately. The results have shown a increased opening trend overall, but the export, acquisition of foreign technology and technical absorptive capacity extend no uniform change. Each sub-sectors had a huge number of minerals and technology import. Both the degree of dependence on export and FDI were very little. The scientific development of mineral resource industry contained output growth, coordination, sustainability and humanity. The mineral resource industry of our country was still in a stage of traditional development. Only several stations which are rich in mineral resource had relative potential. Moreover, the paper utilized panel data model to carry on empirical research, from which we could draw the conclusion that technology introduction had the most obvious effect on industrial scientific development and humanity as well, that import affected output growth much and export did sustainability. Enlarging the import of foreign technology and fostering absorptive capability will be beneficial to mineral resource industrial scientific development. Lastly, we put forward some suggestions on how to make full use of openness to promote the scientific development of mineral resource industry according to the discussion.
