The Research On The Impact Of Industry Agglomeration On The Scientific Development Of Mineral Industry In Our Country

As the material base of national economy,mineral resource is an indispensableand important support to the social stability and national security.The scientificoutlook on development is a major innovation about development theory of ourparty.It is of great value of theoretical guidance and realistic significance toimplement the scientific outlook on development in mineral resource industry whichis an important strategic industry in our country,in order to promote comprehensive,coordinated and sustainable development of economy.Industrial agglomeration is a geopolitical phenomenon that refers to one or moreindustries in a highly concentrated geographical region.Generally,traditional theoryabout industrial agglomeration focuses on manufacturing industry or high-technologyindustry. But in fact, with the development of economy,this phenomenon is notlimited to the above industries any more. This paper deeply discussed the influenceof industrial agglomeration on scientific development of mineral resource industry bythe combination between the two parts.Based on the review of some related theories about industry agglomeration, thispaper elaborated the double effect of industrial agglomeration on scientificdevelopment of mineral resource industry first.The scientific development of mineralresource industry contained output growth, coordination, sustainability and humanity.Industrial agglomeration came into effect through the interaction of some factorsbroke away from manpower,technology,capital and market flows.The impact includstwo aspects that is socio-economic and resource-environment.And then,it measuredthe degree of agglomeration and the scientific development of mineral resourceindustry,applying index of EG and an index system.The results showed that the degreeof agglomeration was overall high.However,it developed slowly and appeareddisparate development.Different from the status of agglomeration,the scientificdevelopment of mineral resource industry was in a low level and at a disadvantage oftraditional.Moreover,the paper utilized panel data model to carry on empiricalresearch,from which we could draw some conclusion.On one hand,both capital andmarket flows had a negative effect,nevertheless,the others didn’t have any;on the otherhand,industry agglomeration had a significant negative impact on industrial scientificdevelopment,especially on industrial sustainability.In the meanwhile,it had the same effect on both industrial development and humanity but didn’t affect thecoordination.Last but not the least,in view of the results,we put forward somesuggestions on how to make full use of industry agglomeration to promote thescientific development of mineral resource industry according to the discussion.
