Project management is a subject related time,cost,scope,quality,communication and human resource management.With the rapid development of information technology,in the past ten years,IT industry has become one of the most common areas of project management.Combining with the specific case analysis – L Company Business partners Unified management platform(UBP-Unified Business Partner Portal)project,the author is the project manager and joined in all cases for the implementation.The project focus on two aspects of analysis-project scope and progress management,combining with domestic and foreign advanced project management method of enterprise culture,environment,and puts forward some improving methods and the characteristics of the project itself suggestion,strive to improve the accuracy and efficiency of project management and delivery.This paper studies with theory and experience is expected to for similar enterprise IT project management as reference source.This paper includes six chapters altogether.The first chapter introduces the thesis research background and significance,the development of the IT project management and the present situation at home and abroad,and the research idea and structure of the arrangement.The second chapter mainly introduces the basic concept of the project,and combining with the real case analysis to the PMI project management methodology and some agile project management tools.The third chapter presents the background for the typical cases in this article,including the current business background and project implementation of the project itself,including methodology,team and other related content.The fourth and fifth chapters discussed the project scope management and project time management related theory,combined with the actual case of problem analysis and tool is introduced and used.The sixth chapter drives a conclusion to the whole thesis with combining the application of relevant theories and tools effect of the full case.In UBP project,the main scope problem we meet is leadership first gave a direction build an integrated global platform for the business partners,but in the process of implementation,we found that in different regions,such as America,Europe,Asia,the business processes and systems are different.Although they understand that this is the CEO of the direction,but they do not know how to integrate,if put forward their own needs,so in the first set when the scope of the project team with a lot of difficulties.Based on this situation,the team had to set up by area,implement the requirements stage by statue following traditional project management experience,and combined with the concept of agile development.At the same time through the traditional project management approach the WBS to manage demand and demand to track matrix.On the other hand,in the progress management,the problems we encountered mush more heavy,company leaders hope we can complete this project within a year,but in different regions have different situation,the project team resources are limited,so we have to split into multiple project stage,and because some areas,the lead changing was also causing project delay again and again,the team also refer to both traditional theory and agile development to manage the progress of the project,according to the different changes timely adjustment plan and focusing on parts,which drive the project completed continuously optimized.Also project team create special activity list to manage project and monitor project time risk and take control accordingly,Activity list is also a major communication in the implementation of the team in the project.
