The Research On Relationships Of The Commodity Export Structure And Economic Growth Under The Restriction Of Resources And Environment In Qinghai Province

The past20years,economic growth and foreign trade developmentin Qinghai Province has made extraordinary progress.Average growthrate per annum has reached12.92%.Export trade have completed thestage of transition from the export of primary products to manufacturedgoods.However,"Extensive"mode of economic growth created atremendous waste,over-explotion and shortage of resources,and alsobrought up continued degradation of the environment.The dilemma ofconflict among the economic growth,resource depletion and thedeterioration of ecological environment has aroused the attention andconsideraton of Qinghai Province.The relationship between the economicgrowth and environment has became an important agenda,especially theeffect of environment resources constraints on Qinghai’s long-termeconomic growth in an open economy.Under such circumstance,thisdissertation summarized the status of previous studies,analysis theQinghai’s current situation of economic growth, environment andinternational trade,then analysis the relationship between themtheoretically and empirically,finally to provide proposals how to sustain ahigh economic growth rate and expand the international trade under thelimited resource,simultaneously reduce the environment pollution.The focus of this dissertation is to combine the characteristics ofQinghai resources and environment,economic growth and export commodities structure,make empirical research under the resource andenvironmental constraints between Qinghai’s export commodity structureand economic growth.The second part begins with a simple analysis ofthe mechanism of action of the commodity structure of exports toeconomic growth.The structure of export commodities,mainly throughthe role of the factor productivity differential effect and the spillovereffects on economic growth.Then in the third chaper introduces theresources and environment issues,based on the actual economic growthsituation and the status of the export commodity structure of QinghaiProvince,resource and environmental constraints of the status quo inQinghai Province. The result shows that,both the export of primary andindustrial products have a positive relationship with economicgrowth.The difference is, primary products to promote economic growthindiredcly by improve total factor productivity, but manufactured goodsto promote economic growth directly.At the end of the series of policysuggestions are provided.
