With the rapid economic development of Beijing, Beijing’s insurance marketdevelopment has made great progress. As an important part of the insurance industry, sportsinsurance doesn’t get too much development. As our country strongly advocates the nationalfitness and social sports activities’ booming development, the development of social sportsinsurance as one part of sports insurance becomes more and more important. Overall, system,accurate understanding of the present developing situation of sports insurance market inBeijing is very meaningful to the development of our country’s sports insurance and the entiresports industry.The paper uses the related theory of sports science, economics and insurance as the guide,uses the literature study questionnaire and mathematical statistics method, makes apreliminary research and analysis of the present developing situation of social sportsinsurance market in Beijing, from the market supply and demand, combining the marketinvestigation of Beijing’s social sports insurance market, and puts forward somecountermeasures according to the existing problems.Chief conclusions and suggestions:First, Beijing Insurance market develops fast, the suppliers have an increasingly trend,but few suppliers carried out sports insurance. Many insurance companies want to try to carryout sports insurance, but fails to begin as lack of professional staff, technology and managingexperiences.Second, there is a series of problems existing in the insurance products which providedby most companies in Beijing, like less product plant, high cost rate, unclear terms andcomplex claiming program. The companies need to design professional insurance product assoon as possible.Third, the number of sports population is very large in Beijing, people participating insocial sports have realistic and potential needs of sports insurance, but the needs are notsatisfied because of lack of professional sports insurance in the market.Fourth, the main factors which consumers consider when they buy insurance consist theinsurance coverage, insurance price, the awareness of companies, etc. On the purchasechannel, more consumers are in favor of buying through online, telephone, or going to thebusiness site, etc.Fifth, the main factors restrict Beijing social sports insurance market development consistof the current sports system factors, the lack of relevant insurance regulations and regimes,the consuming habit of insurance consumers and business and management mode of insurance companies,etc.Sixth, the countermeasures and suggestions to the social sports insurance marketdevelopment in Beijing consist of strengthening the sports insurance product research andinnovation, strengthening the propaganda and popular sports insurance knowledge, speed upthe development of Beijing sports insurance agencies, strengthening the sports insurancelegislation, establishing a social sports insurance policy operation mechanism; cultivatingprofessional sports insurance talents, strengthening the research of the theory of sportsinsurance, etc.
