Based on urban complex as the research object, the thesis mainly analyzes thefunction of some cases to the unban complex and summarizes the main functions ofthe urban complex developing mode. Then the thesis sets up a site selection principlesand summarizes the influence factor of the location, based on the analysis on thepresent situation of unban complex. Besides this, the thesis establish the evaluationindex system, using combination weighting method and grey fuzzy comprehensiveevaluation method for specific plot location decisions. Finally, the thesis analyzed thefunction combination characteristics and the location layout of unban complex in thecity of Qingdao as an example. The content in the thesis involves the following parts:1.Through a large number of literature review, this paper briefly introduces thecurrent research status and the development process of the modern urban complex. After some research and investigation of the urban complex, the thesis define what itis called unban complex and classifies the modern unban complex. Meanwhile, thethesis shows the related theoretical achievements of the urban complex.2. The thesis further analyzes the functions of the urban complex from theperspective of development. On this basis, the thesis summarizes the functionorientation of urban complex, combining with analysis of some famous urbancomplex case.3. According to the present site selection status and the characteristics of urbancomplex, the thesis sets up the principle of site selection of urban complex. Then thethesis analyzes the influence factors of the site selection based upon the principle ofurban complex. With the factors, the thesis establishes the site selection decisionindex system and determines the method of the site selection.4. The thesis does the detailed analysis in the construction, function combinationforms and site selection status of Qingdao. It uses GIS software as the supplement toanalyze the layout of urban complex. Then it does the primary site selection of urbancomplex based on the urban planning. Through the questionnaire survey, it analyzesthe condition of each site. Combined with the condition of each field, it uses dualmethod and the entropy value method to do the valuation of all kinds of impactfactors. Finally, it uses the fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method to find theappropriate site for the construction of urban complex.5. The thesis puts forward some suggestions for the construction of urban complexin the medium-sized city just like Qingdao, based on the valuation of the siteselection. The world is developing so fast that globalization has become an irreversible trend. The urbanization of China is also in constant acceleration. A lot of people rush intothe city. Therefore more and more urban complex, which can save resources and haveaccumulation effect, are built in the city. They hope that the urban complex willsupport the development for the region thorough influence the economy and realizethe social value. However, with more and more urban complex are built, people ignore whether the site selection of urban complex is right and functions of them are appropriated. They care little about whether the economy and humanity can support theconstruction of so much urban complex. As a regional economic center, Qingdao alsohas to solve these problems. This thesis studies the urban complex in such a background. It focuses on thefunction combination and the site selection of the urban complex. It use grey fuzzycomprehensive evaluation to do the site selection. Meanwhile, it takes Qingdao as anexample to select the specific spot for the urban complex. As a result, it could dosome help for the site selection of urban complex of Qingdao.
