The Influence Of Green Barriers On Sichuan’s Agricultural Product Export And The Countermeasures

In the process of international trade, many countries concern not only the economic development, but also the rational utilization and protection of environmental resources. The governments, particularly in developed countries, have enacted or planned to make environmental regulations and trade policies so as to protect and improve the ecological environment.Facing the green trade barriers made by the developed countries, what problems China, including Sichuan Province, has meet in the export of agricultural products? What cost has been paid? How to find a feasible way for the agricultural products of Sichuan province to survive and develop in the international market? All these questions need to be answered. Therefore, in the field of foreign trade and agricultural in Sichuan Province, it is an important and common concerned issue to dialectically view the green trade barriers, and to eliminate the adverse impacts and develop the positive role of green barriers.Conducted by the international trade policy theory, this paper studies the influence of green trade barriers on Sichuan agricultural product export trade, and try to explore the development strategy to minimize the deterioration of agricultural ecological environment, and promote the export of agricultural product.Firstly, this paper defines the concept of green trade barriers, and analyzes the background and causes of the barriers. Secondly, it systematically analyses the internal and external reasons for the suffering from green trade barriers, and the dual influence of green barriers to Sichuan’s agricultural product export. Thirdly, the paper puts forward some positive suggestions and countermeasures, both from the macroscopic and the microscopic views, to discuss how to protect Sichuan’s agricultural products from green trade barriers, and to construct an unblocked trade channel.
