In1996, the concept of "knowledge-based economy" was first proposed in the International Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD). From then on, the "knowledge-based economy" became the most influential research hotspot whether at home or abroad. In recent years, with the rapid development of technology and economy in global, the "knowledge-based economy" has become a mainstream form of the times, especially for businesses, because it will not only bring about various changes in management style but also have an enormous impact for organizational structure. Traditional management could not to create greater value for the enterprises. As a result, knowledge management, the new type of management came into being. The aviation industry is a knowledge-intensive industry and the country’s pillar industry which combines with new materials science and high-tech. Since the development of China’s aviation industry is in a critical period of rapid development, if the innovation is stagnant, the gap between our country and other developed countries would be widened again, which is bound to affect the national defense and security, the country’s stability and development of national economy; However, after a long-term under the relatively backward management system, China’s aviation manufacturing enterprises face enormous challenges. As a product of the knowledge economy, knowledge management is an effective tool to solve the management issues existed in the knowledge-intensive industries like the aviation industry. However, in the existing theoretical studies, knowledge management model for aviation manufacturing enterprises have done little research. Therefore, this study mainly researched how to organically combine knowledge management and the aviation industry to shorten the distance between practice and theory and then make the aviation manufacturing enterprises more efficient and sustainable development. Continuously improve its core competitiveness is the also core of this study. In summary, the main content of this study includes:(1) Research of the domestic and international knowledge management model:in addition to the existing more mature IT-based technology-based learning knowledge management model for new and enterprises upstream and downstream business and the only life cycle is highly integrated collaborative knowledge management mode for a more detailed analysis;(2)Requirement analysis of aviation manufacturing enterprises’collaborative knowledge management model:aviation manufacturing enterprises of the industry through research, implementation of the status quo, the need for collaborative knowledge management and its internal needs;(3) Factors affecting aviation manufacturing enterprise knowledge management model:the aviation industry X Limited, for example through research, to discuss the external factors and internal factors affect aviation manufacturing enterprise knowledge management mode;(4) The aviation industry collaborative knowledge management mode:aviation manufacturing enterprises X Limited, for example, from model construction principle, the basis to start an organization’s existing information flow, data flow and logistics platform to build the corresponding match the collaborative knowledge management to achieve the collaborative development of all aspects of strategy, organizational structure, the main business;(5) Analysis and propose supporting implementation strategy of collaborative knowledge management for the aviation manufacturing enterprises. This study improved knowledge management theory of the aviation industry and organically combined synergy of systems engineering theory and knowledge management theory substantially which changed the parallel mode of development in the past. Also, this paper has a certain degree of innovation in theory and provides guidance to improve core competitiveness of aviation manufacturing enterprises.
