The Study Of Distribution Characteristics Change Of Scale Of Small Towns In Daqing Based On RS And GIS

Today, we entered the new stage that urbanization became the axis to promote social, economic development. Urbanization promoted by the development of small cities and towns is the outstanding performance after China’s reforming and opening in the process of modernization. In a certain period of time, the small cities quantity and scale will get a faster development under the nations’ macroscopical policy guidance of "small towns, big strategy ". Small town will enter the period of both quantity increasing and quality improving. Central Committee of Chinese Communist Party and State Council pointed out that developing small towns is the route we must take to realize rural modernization in China in " several opinions on promoting the healthy development of small towns " on June13,2000. It is the right time and condition for us to speed up the process of urbanization and we must accept the current important task and seize this opportunity to guide a healthy development of small cities and towns in time.A study of scale of small towns has a great significance to determine reasonable size and urban planning.This article takes TM satellite remote sensing images in the year1990,2001,2006and land database of2009as the main information source. Using RS and GIS.Analysing distribution characteristics change of scale of small towns.First, Using the primate city method to calculate city’s first advantage region in daqing. Then, with SPSS software for a linear regression analysis. Finally, Using Rank-size-rule method to describe distribution characteristics change of scale of small towns in daqing.The results indicated that:Distribution of scale of small towns has significant fractal features. Urban use scale distribution meet rank-size-rule method.in the urban system of daqing,1990-2009,structure capacity appear stable increasing state. Daqing city shows that the overall urban scale is extend.urban system internal structure also becomes more and more complicated.At the same time, the scale of town fractal value D reduced year by year. The scale of the gap between towns becomes large. The primate city improve gradually. The first theory area compare with the first actual area is larger than1.And the first theory area of town and the first actual area of town’ratio is reduced gradually.The gap is increasing from2001.2009, First town urban land use scale is79.99km2. It is low than theoretical value. Though the first town improve gradually. The first index shows the first town is still low. Center cohesion is insufficient, Small towns distribution scale is balance. The first advantage is not obvious Daqing city has not been formed high comprehensive function and the core of the comprehensive benefit region. It is a lack of polymerization ability regional center.Most of the scale of small towns is too small. And distribute remote、develop slowly. Such small towns scale restrict the rural economy.
