Domestic construction industry has got great development with the market economy developmentin the past30years in China. However, under the flourishing background, there are s ome realrisks, suc h a s exte nsive management style, l ow pr ofit, and wea k com petitive capabi lity i ndomestic construction industry. With hotter and hotter competition in domestic construction field,any construction company, who wants to get a firm foothold in the tide of market economy, shouldmake great efforts to t hink about how to improve project management efficiency to stren gthencompany’s co mpetition p ower. A Corporat ion, one bi g sta te-owned c onstruction enterprise,accumulated many proble ms to be sol ved during its long-term development, whose out putcapacity almost came to be full, but the profit has gone down year by year even near to the lossedge in recent years. In order to change the situation, the company tried to change its developmentmode of cost down as well as efficiency and profit improvement, however, the reform didn’t workwell, but face a kittle bottleneck.Starting with analyzing the loss reasons for the cost factors of Three Gorges Scouring Sluice ofStilling Pool Apron Project, th is thesis introduces the existing problems in the work of cos tcontrol of the project in details; Comparing with Taisei Kensetsu’s cost control methods, thisthesis also deeply analyses the causes of the problems, then points out the contradictions behindcost control. Aft er t he an alysis co nclusion co ming o ut, ac cording to present si tuation andsurroundings of the company, the writer partly re-designs practical operation procedures for costcontrol by using the theory of Ma nagement, and puts up with solutions to the contradictions indeep lay er, a lso ta lks a bout su ggestions and t hinking for c ost control in t he order of3stages----before the event, in the event and after the event.Based on pr oject cost control theory and cas e study, this thesis has studied and discussed theproblems of cost control in ACorporation, providing some comments and advice on how tobuild u p s cientific and ef ficient c ost control sy stem. H opefully spea king, i t c an be a usef ulreference for the whole construction industry to take a reform on tu rning t o p rofit in creasingmode.
