The Research Of Project Integration Management In Telecommunication Support System

With the increasing competition dramatically and overseacarriers more deeply permeating in domestic telecommunicationmarket, the local telecommunication operation enterprises in Chinamust organize all kinds of resources more effective, cut downoperation cost, improve efficiency of production and strengthencorporation flexibility. The projects in these companies areusually involved with many different suppliers and functionaldepartments, which require coordinating all categories of resource.Traditional management and organization cannot accommodate thisrequirement very much while project management, as an effectivemethodology to improve the execution of the company, can be usedinside of telecommunication enterprises. This thesis combines theindustry and projects features and set up an effective projectintegration management frame of support system by some cases andthe three processes of IT project integration management. The frameis successfully applies by the case and improves the managementperformance obviously so as to develop the company’s competition.Firstly, the thesis describes the background and situation ofdomestic telecommunication IT project management and analyzes theproject management features and the differences against PMBOK ofa typical very-large-scale state owned carrier, D Company. And then,the thesis explains what telecommunication support system is andproposes the importance to research the project integrationmanagement in such support system.Secondly, based on the theory of integration management, thethesis introduces there process groups, including planning, implementing and change controlling. By analyzing a failed case andthe theories, the thesis summarizes some important issues ofproject integration management in D company and proposes measuresto take accordingly.Thirdly, according to the above typical issues and improvementstrategies, the thesis set forth the principles for support systemproject integration management. It also proposes the frame of suchmanagement and summarizes five points: accuracy for estimation,normalization for planning, reasonability for work breakdown,preciseness for trace and control and efficiency for communication.Last, the thesis demonstrates the other actual case by data indetail to proof the validity of the frame in telecommunicationsupport system project integration management.
