As the problem of environmental pollution and energy shortage is standing outgradually, so protecting the ecological environment and sustainable development isthe theme of the human in the21st century. Green building, which is becomingdominant tend of future building, results from the introduction of sustainabledevelopment idea to construction field. Compared with conventional constructionproject, green building needs more requirements, for example in response to thenatural design, efficient use of resources, to build the regional characteristics ofcommunity and the indoor environment comfortable. So Green building(GB)projectscreate more risks than conventional construction project. The aim of this paper is toresearch on Risk Identification and Evaluation of Green Buildings’ whole lifecycle inChina. This paper firstly considering GB’s own characteristics, risk characteristics, differences from conventional building,we classified the risk factors of GB toTwo-dimensional. Systematically summed up the literature at home and abroad aboutgreen building risk factors identification, combining the result of expert interviewwhich have experience on green building in china and based on life cycle theory ofGB, the paper systematically identify the risks of decision-making phase, designphase, construction phase, commissioning phase and operational phase of GB. thepaper identified56risk factors of GB in all, establishmenting the GB’s risks list. Onthe basis of the risks list, the research make the “Green building life cycle riskassessment questionnaire in china”.Secondly, questionnaire method was adopted to collect experts’ opinions on thesignificance of GB risks(risk occurrence probability and risk impact)and analyze thecollected data by the SPSS software. The methods of risk occurrence probability andrisk impact included analysis of means, independent two-sample t-test, One-wayANOVA. Lastly analyzing the significance(combine risk occurrence probability and riskimpact)of GB risks,36key risks that affect the success of GB projects in our countywere identified and carried out a detailed analysis; Further use Kendall’ sconcordance test and Spearman’s rank correlation test to measure the agreement ofdifferent company respondents on their rankings of risk factors, the results indicateddifferent company respondents have different key GB risks. The research which ismore helpful to know the GB risks and manage GB risks effectively, thus guaranteethe successful implementation of GB.
