Chinese companies benefit a lot from globalization, however, most ofthem are just at the lowest level of value chain by manufacturing cheapproducts for oversea branding companies. Now they are driven by increasingmanufacturing cost to marketing their own brand directly by setting branchesin other countries in order to get sustainable market share and profit.Company A is a retail equipment supplier. This thesis is to conclude somecommon solutions to operational challenges in India by analyzing the processof company A’s India branch strategy identification and implementation,which could give reference to the other companies facing similar strategychallenge.This thesis consists of five sections. The introduction is to analyze India’senvironment by using PEST. Second second is to analyze Indian retailequipment industry, logistic and food industry and internal resource by using5forth method and Value Chain method. The strategy analyses andidentification section is to choose company A’s Competitive strategy,development strategy and cooperative strategy by using tool of SWTOanalyses. Implementation section gives the challenges during strategyimplementation such as human resource, marketing and culture confliction.Final section is to conclude some common challenges company may face inIndia branch operation.
