With economic development, the semiconductor manufacturing industryis growing rapidly. With the increasing of the semiconductor wafer size andscale of production, the investment is also growing and always billions ofdollars. The efficiency of full utilization bottleneck and optimizing productmix is required to improve the return on investment. And request company toenhance the speed of market reaction through cycle time reduction.The thesis introduces the basic semiconductor process and main featuresof production line. In semiconductor business process is very complex,equipment is expensive, scale is large, production mix is complicated,equipment maintenance is difficult and special minimum waiting time(Queue Time) to limit the manufacturing. Through fishbone diagram analysisand DBR analysis, to determine the bottleneck of factory and findproduction control methods to improve the capacity of the bottleneck.Then through linear programming methods, change the production mix problem to a mathematical problem. Study the maximum capacity goal incase of pricing uncertainty and the maximum profit goal in case of pricingcertainty.Based on the concept of the OEE, study and find out the semiconductorbottlenecks according to the maximum loading of equipment group, andstudy the bottleneck transfer. Analyze the buffer setting and relationshipbetween the production cycle time and non-bottleneck loading which iscuased by different production start.Finally use the the Arena software simulation platform study therelationship between production cycle time and non-bottleneck loading,compare the cycle time when if there is minimum wait time restrictions.Through the data provide capacity expansion reasonable recommendations tothe semiconductor company.
