Most of spare parts used for chemical plant are intermittent and random demand.Amount to70%of spare parts inventory is slow moving spare parts, which sampledata is little. How to predict spare parts for a chemical engineering company is reallya hard job.In this paper, spare parts for chemical department were separated into slowmoving spare parts and fast moving spare parts. The average year consume quantityno more than and equal to1is slow moving spare parts, the average year consumemore than1is fast moving spare parts.Considering the time factor of spare parts management, improve the ABCclassification according to the time requirement characteristic for spare partsmanagement. With life cycle and check period for premise, use the cost as basis tocarry on categorizing to the spare parts management, make up the shortage oftraditional ABC classification, carry out correct classification for slow moving spareparts which consumption in a year is0or1.Carrying on statistics analysis in the life span of the parts in the equipments, thenget a spare parts distribution function for the equipments. On this foundation, usebayesian statistics method to predict spare parts demand. Bayesian statistics methoduse to spare parts for chemical plant has good applicability, to small sample spareparts is still available. Bayesian statistics method has very good self-study ability,also can get better model when sample increase.Built the chemical engineering spare parts control model. Class A fast movingspare parts excute (R, Q) inventory control model, class B,and C Fast moving spareparts excute (t, S) inventory control model. For slow moving spare parts, adopt (S,S-1) inventory policy, superior saving quantity can be made demand predictionthrough the way using bayesian statistics. According to the inventory control strategywill be able to get spare parts stock of the quota, the minimum inventory spare parts,the inventory and every time the economic order quantities.Class A fast moving spare parts are adopted (R, Q) inventory policy, Class B and C fast moving spare parts are adopted (t, S) inventory policy, slow moving spare parts are adopted(S, S-1) inventory policy. Calculated and proved these inventory policies areapplicable to spare parts for chemical plant. Use these inventory policies, can makesure that the reasonable spare parts inventory and ensures reasonable stock levelwhile having high service period level. And carry on estimating the economy of theseinventory policies.When use above methods to make optimization study to SINOPEC MAOMINGCompany’s spare parts inventory, we can update the existing ERP system to carry outthese method, and build up one set spare parts management system that is excellentand matched to the enterprise’s request. This would be a set of dynamic managementsystem that can be continuously optimzed.
