A Research About The Effect Agricultural Informationization On Agricultural Economic Growth

The agricultural informatization, being a significant part in the process of thesocial informatization, has been playing an increasingly important part in agriculturaleconomic growth. The United States has stepped into the era of intensive agriculture,and at the same time modern agriculture has rapidly developed in other countries,such as Japan, France, South Korea etc. The Chinese construction of agriculturalinformatization, however, is still in its initial stage. Most importantly, China hasalready been in the critical period where the extensive styles of agricultural economicgrowth mode is changing into the intensive ones, and new patterns of economicgrowth should be chosen in this period. The agricultural informatization in China willinevitably become the new increasing aspects in Chinese agricultural economy resultfrom the true nature of the agricultural informatization, its relationship withagricultural economic growth and the growing part it plays in the agriculturaleconomy and all the aspects of rural areas. Considering the above, agriculturalinformatization will not only promote agricultural economic growth in a rapid way,but also will speed up the pace of developing a new socialist countryside in China.What is more, it is the inevitable choice of accelerating the realization of agriculturalmodernization, and also the only way of lessening the agricultural gap between Chinaand the developed countries.Starting from the related definition of the agricultural informatization，this paperexpounds the basic meaning of agricultural informatization and the related theory ofeconomic growth. The principle will be explained in this paper that agriculturalinformatization has great influence in the agricultural economic growth. According tothe previous research experience, Evaluation Index System will be formulated in theempirical part, and on the basis of error correction model, empirical analysis will bedone in the relation of agricultural informatization and economic growth inagriculture. The results show that improving the agricultural informatization will bebeneficial to the development of agricultural economic growth in China. Based on theempirical research, this paper puts forward some strategies and policies in the development of Chinese agricultural informatization.The thesis contains6chapters with the following contents:Chapter1introduces the background, contents and approaches of the studied problemin this thesis.Chapter2discusses the basic concepts and relative theories. It lays the theoreticalfoundation of the thesis by describing concepts such as agricultural informatization,economic growth and the relationship between the two preceding factors.Chapter3looks at how agricultural informatization influences economic growth. Itexplains mainly from the aspects of industrial structure, resource allocation,technological progress, and activity space and service system and so on.Chapter4analyses empirically how agricultural informatization influences economicgrowth in the model built with error correction model and inner-generated economicgrowth theory, and explains the analytical results.Chapter5suggests the promotion of agricultural informatization level in order toboost the economic growth of agriculture in our country according to the analysis.Chapter6is about conclusion and prospect. It concludes the work that has been done,and points out the shortcomings and direction of endeavor.
