In the rapid economic development modern society, sufficient and stable energysupply is an important safeguard to ensure the normal operation of the national economy,so the energy security influences with the national security. With the economicdevelopment, the consumption of traditional energy is increasing, it has becomeincreasingly reduced, and the contradiction between energy supply and demand isbecoming more and more prominent. Under such circumstances, as the alternative oftraditional energy-new energy ushered in a good opportunity for development. As thedominant direction of future energy development, the importance of new energy isself-evident. Some experts even predicted that who occupies the future new energymarket, who will occupy the strategic high ground, who will come to dominate the newinternational political and economic order.As the “oil-poor” countries, facing gradually prominent energy issues, South Koreatakes the development and utilization of new energy as a breakthrough to ease its energycrisis, after Lee Myung-bak took office, South Korea government propose a" GreenGrowth Plan " which aims at the development of new energy; in the "11th Five Plan ""12th Five Plan "China government takes the development of new energy as a keyindustry to support, which provides a good opportunity for China and South Korea in thenew energy cooperation.The new energy cooperation of China-South Korea is possible and feasible. Chinaand South Korea across the sea, a unique geographical location between the twocountries to achieve the new energy cooperation provides a location advantage; fundingtechnical complementarity of the two countries learn from each other; new energy policysimilarity between the two countries entering each other’s markets has removed a numberof policy barriers; the successful example of the new energy cooperation between the twocountries set an example for a wider range of new energy cooperation.The new energy cooperation of China-South Korea is necessary. In recent years, asthe economic development of the two country, energy consumption increased year by year, the contradiction between energy supply and demand has become increasinglyprominent in the two countries, in order to alleviate the increasingly serious energysecurity situation, to improve the climate and environment issues brought about by theconsumption of traditional energy and the need to cultivate new economic growth point,It is necessary to strengthen the new energy cooperation for China-South Korea.
