| As the basic unit of our national economy, the county is the base of constructing zone economy, economic zones, provinces, cities, and so on. County economy difference is a universal phenomenon, it can promote or hinder the development of regional economy through affecting the coordinated development of regional economy, social progress, urban construction, etc. Appropriate regional economy difference is good for the optimal allocation of resources, which can promote the whole regional economy to develop rapidly, but when economic difference beyond a certain threshold, it will have a negative effect, hindering the development of regional economy.This paper takes the economy difference in80counties as object of study. Under the direction of the theory about regional economy difference and harmonious development, the paper makes a deep and systematic study on the temporal and spatial characteristics and influential factors of county economy difference in Jiangxi Province, and also points out the law of economic development and the influential factors, which has an important theoretical and practical significance for making scientific county economy development strategies.This paper is divided into six chapters:Chapter1introduces the background and significance of the study, summarizes the research methods and innovations. Chapter2introduces the related concept of county economy, reviews about the theories of regional economic disparities and the county economy at home and abroad. Chapter3estimates the standard deviation, coefficient of variation, the Kuznets ratio and coefficient of skewness of per capita GDP, and then analyzes the temporal characteristics of county economy difference in Jiangxi Province from2000to2009. Then, it builds a comprehensive evaluation index system, selects the2000and2009two nodes, explores the spatial characteristics by the global principal component analysis and spatial econometric model. Chapter4summarizes the factors affecting the county economy difference based on the foregoing conclusions of the study. Chapter5puts forward some ideas and proposals on reducing county economy difference. Chapter6summarizes research conclusions of the study, and points out the limitations of the study.Through analyzing the temporal and spatial characteristics of county economy difference in Jiangxi Province, we can draw the following conclusions:First, since2000, the absolute disparities of counties in Jiangxi Province has constantly enlarged, the relative disparity has grown first and then decreased, and the main reason causing the expansion is the increase of the high-income people. The trend of the polarization level of county economic development in Jiangxi Province has slowly strengthened, which restricts the development of county economy.Second, we can find that spatial distribution of county economy in2009have the following features:the well-developed counties were grouped in the middle areas of Jiangxi Province, along main lines of transportation and the Yangtze River; the undeveloped counties were around the well-developed counties, presenting an irregular ring; in view of the overall situation, the economic development level of counties in Jiangxi Province was higher in the southern part than that in the northern part of Jiangxi Province; from the aspect of the number of each level counties, we could get a number pyramid structure.Third, positive spatial autocorrelation of county economy has been enhanced from2000to2009, which indicates that the spatial heterogeneity of county economy has been strengthened. According to the Local Moran’s I and the comprehensive economic strength, the whole region can be divided into four categories, including the categories of accumulating-development, core-development, balance-development, and edge-development.Finally, this paper analyzes the reasons for the increasing county economy difference combining regional economics, human geography, industry economics, space metrology, and so on, and puts forward some corresponding countermeasures to coordinate the county’s development in Jiangxi Province using the relevant points of Game Theory... |
