Since1990’s of the20th century, the software industry is one of the fastest growing high-tech industries in China, and software engineers are very important for the production of the enterprise.How to manage and make use of the software engineers is very important for the development of the enterprise. Individual performance of the software engineer is directly relevant with the whole operation performance of the enterprises. Therefore, improving performance of software engineers furthest has been an important issue for the human resource managemengt of the enterprise.The employees awalys make a felling of how the organizationg treat their contribution and care about their benefit, which is the perceived organizational support. It comes form the experiences of how the organize support and regard them, It can satisfy the emotional needs of employees, and it will be affect the ideas and behaviors of employees when they work. As is often pointed out by some people, perceived organizational support will improve staff’s work efficiency. Therefore, this paper took softwar engineer as the object to make a research about the relationship between their perceived organizational support and performance, and discussing the intermediary function of emotional commitment between perceived organizational support and performance.First of all,this paper reviews relatives theories of perceived organizational support, emotional commitment and performance. Then the research model and hypotheses are established. This paper took software engineer in Shenyang area as the object in order to validate the model and hypatheses.Through the data collection of small and large sample, SPSS statistical software and AMOS statistical software is used for data exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, correlation analysis, multiple regression analysis and variance analysis in order to validate the hypatheses and obtain the conclusion of this research. With these conclusions and from the angle of perceived organizational support and emotional commitment, suggestions were given to improve the performance of software engineer.
