Reseacrh On Scientific And Technological Innovation And The Acceleration Of The Economic Development Transformation

During the recent30years since the reform and opening up, China’s economy hasmaintained rapid growth. Along with the constant improvement of the socialist marketeconomic system and the deepening of reform, some deep-seated problems are exposedgradually in Chinese economic development. In the new era, along with the theories of the“scientific concept of development” and the theory of “accelerating the transformation ofeconomic development” being proposed by the CPC Central Committee, China has begunto recognize that the acceleration of the transformation of economic development is of theutmost importance to the sound and rapid leap-forward economic development. Scientific andtechnological innovation, as the central link, bears a supporting role to the acceleration of thetransformation of economic development. As the typical model of China’s economicdevelopment，Wuxi’s economic development walks in the frontier of the nation; thus, theanalysis of the role of scientific and technological innovation for the acceleration of thetransformation of economic development in Wuxi is of important strategic significance.This thesis follows the basic ideas of “question proposal, problem analysis, and problemsolving”, comprehensively adopts literature analysis, qualitative research and quantitativeresearch, and specification analysis, and carries out an in-depth and detailed study focusing onthe role of scientific and technological innovation to the acceleration of the transformation ofWuxi’s economic development mode. First of all, the research background and significance,research ideas and methods, and major points and difficulties are introduced, then the thesisfurther develops with relevant theories and concepts on scientific and technologicalinnovation and the acceleration of the transformation of economic development are brieflydescribed. Second, this thesis introduces the endeavors and practices made by Wuxi throughthe scientific and technological innovation to promote the transformation of economicdevelopment, from the five aspects of changing the concept of development, promotingindustrial upgrading, implementing talent management strategy, improving social conditions,and enhancing public service, and related researches on the Wuxi scientific and technologicalinnovation and economic development are carried out as well. Thirdly, in face of status quo ofthe Wuxi scientific and technological innovation and acceleration of the transformation ofeconomic development, this thesis presents the main problems faced by Wuxi technologicalinnovation and acceleration of the transformation of economic development. Finally, SWOTanalysis is carried out on Wuxi technology innovation and acceleration of the transformationof economic development, and a SWOT matrix mode is constructed. On the basis of theprevious analysis, this thesis comes up with corresponding countermeasures from respectivelyseven aspects, namely, concept understanding, industrial upgrading, urban and rural balanceddevelopment, circular economy, cultural thinking innovation, community composition andconstruction and scientific and technological innovation system.
