Based on the author’s affiliation in construction industry, this paper studies the feasibility of large-scale construction enterprises in the implementation of portfolio project management. From the aspects of construction market, the challenge and opportunities are studied for the internal management during the construction; from the market change and demand, the problems construction enterprises facing in the implementation of project construction management are discussed. The paper also describes the lack of management instruments in the enterprises and how to improve the economic efficiency, reduce operation costs, and enhance the cohesion through comparison of advantages and disadvantages between single-project management, multi-project management, and portfolio project management.Taking CJ Corporation as an example, the paper focuses on the portfolio project management study from the aspects of business organization, operation management, fund management, and production management. Combined with the author own working experience, some measurements are proposed for corporate strategy implement and corporate micro-management, for example, how to fulfill the consistence of internal micro-management with macro-strategy? how to select and screen the projects for the consistence of business activities with strategy? It is concluded that establishing a good adaption portfolio project management is necessary and efficient to optimize the management and promote further innovation of enterprise management mechanism by means of information system.
